Operation Sindoor Triumph: Rahul, Kharge Back Armed Forces

Operation Sindoor, a precision military strike launched by the Indian Armed Forces against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has been hailed as a success. The operation, carried out in response to the brutal April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, has received praise from top Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge for the professionalism and bravery of the Indian forces.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rahul Gandhi commended the armed forces, posting, “Proud of our armed forces. Jai Hind!” His message reflected the nationwide sentiment of pride following the swift and calculated action against cross-border terrorism.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also expressed strong support for the armed forces, stating, “India has a strong national policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. We are proud of our armed forces for striking at terrorist camps. We salute their courage and determination.”

Kharge further noted that the Congress party has consistently supported tough action against terrorism. “Since the Pahalgam attack, we have stood by the government and our security forces. At such a time, unity is paramount. The Indian National Congress remains committed to national security and the fight against terrorism,” he said.

According to officials, Operation Sindoor was launched in the early hours of Wednesday as a calibrated response to the terror strike that killed 26 civilians, including one Nepali national. The military targeted nine high-value locations linked to terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The Government of India confirmed that the strikes were precise, avoided civilian casualties, and deliberately excluded any Pakistani military infrastructure to prevent escalation. The approach underscored India’s commitment to responsible retaliation while holding those responsible accountable.

Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior officials monitored the operation in real-time, ensuring strategic execution and oversight.

The success of Operation Sindoor has unified political voices across the spectrum, reaffirming support for the armed forces and India’s resolve to combat terrorism with strength and discipline.
