Kuldeep Kumar calls on meets NCSC Chairman Kishore Makwana

Chairman of the HP State Commission for Scheduled Castes, Kuldeep Kumar, called on the Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Kishore Makwana, in New Delhi today. He was accompanied by Members of the Commission, Advocates Vijay Dogra and Digvijay Malhotra.

Kuldeep Kumar discussed various issues pertaining to the state, especially the reduction in the budget under the Scheduled Caste Development Plan (SCDP). He also requested budget provisions for the state under the R&D division.

He urged the intervention of the Commission to address the issues faced by the population residing near or within cantonment areas and requested that the matter be taken up with the Ministry of Defence for resolution.

He also apprised the Chairman of the activities of the State Commission and requested security support for the Commission during the discharge of its duties. Additionally, he sought a date for convening the State Review Meeting of the Commission.
