Surajpur District Tops State in Health Services on Atal Monitoring Portal
Raipur : Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh has secured the first position across the state in the Atal Monitoring Portal ranking for the year 2024-25, reflecting its outstanding performance in the field of health services. This achievement highlights the quality, effectiveness, and accessibility of the district’s healthcare systems.
The Atal Monitoring Portal evaluates preventive, promotive, and curative aspects of healthcare delivery. Surajpur excelled in this assessment by delivering exemplary services to the public through its network of Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Sub-Health Centres, and the District Hospital.
Key to this success has been the expansion of healthcare services in rural and tribal areas, public awareness campaigns, and continuous monitoring by the District Health Department. These initiatives have significantly strengthened the healthcare outreach and service delivery mechanisms in the region.
This accomplishment has been made possible under the guidance of District Collector Mr. S. Jayavardhan and through the capable leadership of CMHO Dr. K.D. Paikara, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ajay Markam, and DPM Mr. Prince Jaiswal. The dedicated efforts of doctors and healthcare staff have also played a crucial role. Regular reviews by the Collector and clear directives to health officials and staff at all levels have ensured a consistent focus on improving healthcare services in the district.
