Principal Secretary Shri Sonmoni Bora Inspects PM Janman Model Housing Project at Chatouri

Principal Secretary Shri Sonmoni Bora visits Pahadi Korwa settlement; reviews newly constructed permanent houses of Mangra Ram, Bisani Bai, and Arvind Ram

Raipur : Under the Shushasan Tihar initiative, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department, Shri Sonmoni Bora, visited the village panchayat of Kardana in the Manora development block and inspected the PM Janman Model Housing Project in Chatouri. During his visit, he reached the Pahadi Korwa tribal settlement and reviewed the newly constructed permanent houses of beneficiaries Mangra Ram, Bisani Bai, and Arvind Ram.

He directed officials to ensure proper arrangements for electricity and water supply in the Pahadi Korwa settlement.

The Principal Secretary also interacted with the Pahadi Korwa families about their basic amenities and sought information regarding the construction of their houses and the funds allocated for them. He discussed issues related to ration cards and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana with the beneficiaries. The families informed him that they were facing no difficulties in receiving rice through their ration cards or withdrawing funds under the Mahtari Vandan Scheme.

Shri Bora also distributed Charan Paduka (footwear) to the Pahadi Korwa families belonging to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG). He engaged warmly and sincerely with the community, listened to their concerns in a simple and approachable manner, and issued instructions for the prompt and serious resolution of all issues raised.
