“Kickoff Today: Global Conclave on Plastic Recycling & Sustainability at Bharat Mandapam!”

The four-day Global Conclave on Plastic Recycling and Sustainability (GCPRS) began robustly today at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan. The event was inaugurated by Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, with Smt. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, attending as Guest of Honor.

Key attendees included AIPMA President Shri Manish Dedhia, CPMA President Shri Kamal Nanavati, and other industry leaders. In her address, Smt. Verma emphasized the need for a concerted effort in plastic waste management, highlighting the importance of transitioning to a sustainable circular economy.

Smt. Epao expressed the Ministry of MSME’s support, noting the establishment of a state-of-the-art export center in Hyderabad as part of their 100-day program.

The conclave, organized by AIPMA and CPMA, focuses on the environmental impact of plastic use and the steps needed for sustainable solutions. The event will showcase innovative recycling technologies and host discussions on plastic waste management across various industries.

The GCPRS aims to drive India towards its zero waste goal, providing a platform for industry leaders, startups, and environmental experts to share insights and advancements in the plastic industry.
