All-Party Delegation Visits Qatar, Reaffirms India’s Stand Against Terrorism

Doha: An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule, held discussions with Hamada Bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, Vice President of the Shura Council, and other members in Doha, Qatar on Sunday. The key focus of the talks was India’s strong and united stance against terrorism, as the delegation continues its international outreach under the banner of Operation Sindoor.

Earlier in the day, the delegation paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the Indian Embassy in Doha. In a post on X, the Indian Embassy stated, “Honoring Bapu’s enduring ideals of peace and tolerance, members of the all-party delegation led by Hon’ble MP Supriya Sule paid floral tribute to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Embassy.”

The visit is part of India’s global diplomatic efforts to communicate its zero-tolerance policy on terrorism and highlight a united national front in tackling global security challenges.

The delegation includes a diverse group of leaders: Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Anurag Singh Thakur (BJP), Manish Tewari and Anand Sharma (Congress), Vikramjit Singh Sawhney (AAP), Lavu Srikrishna Devarayulu (TDP), and former diplomat Syed Akbaruddin. The delegation will also travel to Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa as part of this diplomatic mission.

India’s Ambassador to Qatar, Vipul, welcomed the delegation upon arrival, with the Indian Embassy posting on X: “Conveying India’s strong message against terrorism to the world! Warm welcome to the multi-party delegation led by Supriya Sule in Qatar.”

Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, emphasized the significance of the visit. “The sixth group of the all-party delegation, led by Supriya Sule, has left from New Delhi. The team will visit Qatar, Egypt, Ethiopia, and South Africa to convey India’s unwavering resolve to fight terrorism,” he said in a post on X.

The aim of this mission is to showcase India’s national consensus and commitment to countering terrorism in all its forms. Through diplomatic engagements, the delegation seeks to build stronger global partnerships rooted in peace, cooperation, and shared security objectives.
