Lucknow : The Yogi government is opening new doors for Uttar Pradesh’s youth. Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directive in a recent AYUSH department meeting to fast-track recruitments, the department has launched hiring for 4,350 vacancies across Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy sectors.

The recruitment will be conducted through various modes, including promotions, direct recruitment, requisitions, approvals from the Accounting and Finance Department, and the PSS cadre. Requisitions for several posts have already been submitted.

Principal Secretary AYUSH, Ranjan Kumar, stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the urgency of recruitment during the departmental meeting. The goal is to bolster AYUSH medical services by ensuring adequate staffing to strengthen traditional healthcare across the state.

Accordingly, preparations are underway to fill key roles including Director, Deputy Director, Principal, Professor, Lecturer, Medical Officer, Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Matron, and Reader.

Out of 7,233 sanctioned posts in the Ayurveda department, 4,208 are currently filled, leaving 3,025 vacancies. The Unani department has 161 vacancies out of 462 posts, while Homeopathy faces 1,164 vacancies from 3,818 sanctioned positions. The AYUSH department plans to address these gaps through multiple recruitment drives.

Key Posts to be Filled Include:

The Yogi government is focused on strengthening the infrastructure of the AYUSH medical system and is committed to ensuring the availability of qualified medical professionals.

The government has made significant strides in the sector in recent years, establishing new medical and AYUSH colleges, expanding curricula, and integrating digital health solutions.

Now, efforts are underway to merge traditional healthcare with modern innovations. Initiatives such as telemedicine, digital health records, and contemporary research centers are being developed, while Ayurveda and Homeopathy are being positioned as viable career options for the youth.

This recruitment drive will enhance healthcare delivery, especially in rural areas, and open new employment avenues for young professionals. This initiative marks a significant step toward a healthier and more empowered Uttar Pradesh by reinforcing traditional medicine and improving state-wide healthcare services.
