Special Supplementary Examinations Announced for Polytechnic Students

Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Thiru K. Ponmudy, has announced that a special supplementary examination will be conducted in June/July 2025 for second-year diploma students of polytechnic colleges in Tamil Nadu who could not clear one or more subjects in the April 2025 board exams.

The Minister said that the Dravidian Model Government under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu is deeply committed to the socio-economic upliftment of the people through various welfare schemes across all departments. In keeping with this vision, the Department of Higher Education has taken several steps to improve academic standards and provide opportunities for students from economically weaker backgrounds.

The Minister noted that many students who appeared for their final or arrear exams in April 2025 were unable to pass in some subjects and are now at risk of being unable to pursue higher education or employment.
