Raipur : The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin is not just providing permanent homes to those in need, but is also fulfilling dreams and restoring dignity. One such inspiring story is that of 70-year-old Santu Chakres, a resident of Dokra village in Kansabel block of Jashpur district.

After spending years in a fragile mud hut and enduring tough living conditions, Santu Chakres is now overjoyed—he has finally received his first concrete house. What made the moment even more special was receiving the keys to his new home directly from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during his recent visit to Jashpur.

An emotional Santu Chakres thanked the Chief Minister and said, “At this stage of life, when one longs to live without worries, this permanent home feels like a blessing from God. Now my family and I no longer fear the rain or poisonous creatures. We finally have a safe and strong shelter of our own.”

Santu shared that his house was sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and it has now been fully constructed. For him, this is more than just a house—it represents dignity, safety, and stability.
