Orange Alert Issued for Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune Ghat, and Satara Ghat for Next 24 Hours
Mumbai : According to the forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), an orange alert has been declared for the next 24 hours for the districts of Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, as well as the Pune and Satara Ghat regions, informed the State Emergency Operations Centre.
In the past 24 hours (till the morning of June 18, 2025), the heaviest rainfall in the state has been recorded in Mumbai Suburban district with 29.2 mm, followed by Raigad (21.7 mm), Palghar (21.1 mm), Ratnagiri (19.5 mm), and Sindhudurg (19.1 mm).

The State Emergency Operations Centre also reported the following incidents:
- In Kolhapur district, a wall collapse led to one person being injured.
- In Nagpur district, an industrial reactor explosion resulted in one death and six injuries.
- In Mumbai Suburban district, two persons were injured in a fire incident.
- In Solapur district, two people were injured in a road accident, and a lightning strike caused the death of one animal.
Authorities have urged citizens in the affected areas to remain cautious and follow safety advisories.
