Raipur: Women are getting messages of happiness on their mobile phones every month

To fulfill the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has started Mahtari Vandan Yojana in Chhattisgarh state. Through this scheme, the dream of women to become self-reliant and independent is coming true. Under this scheme, which was started last March, an amount of one thousand rupees is being given every month in the bank account of married women. A total of five installments have been released so far.

About 70 lakh women of the state are getting benefits every month. Women say that this scheme has increased their confidence. Their importance in the family has increased. Now they do not need to beg for small household needs. They are fulfilling the small dreams of their family members with this amount. Many women have also started small economic activities with this amount. Women involved in self-help groups are also doing savings.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while congratulating the women, said that the state government is committed to fulfilling each and every guarantee of Prime Minister Modi. Every possible effort is being made to make women empowered and self-reliant. The women of the district are looking very excited after receiving the fifth installment amount under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The amount has been transferred to the accounts of thousands of women including Mrs. Saroj Kashyap of village Chhotedongar of Narayanpur district, Mrs. Roshni Sahu of village Telsi, which has created a wave of happiness among the women. Mrs. Saroj says that she will use the amount for household expenses and children’s education and Mrs. Sushila Nureti of Kohkameta said that she will increase her income by setting up a business of selling vegetables in the market of her village. Mrs. Lakshmi Korram of Orchha said that she will use it to strengthen her financial condition by running a hotel in Orchha market. Taking a step towards women empowerment, the women thanked the country’s successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnudev Sai for making the scheme and expressed their gratitude. 27 thousand 581 women of Narayanpur district are receiving more than 2 crore 75 lakh rupees every month at the rate of 1 thousand rupees.

It is noteworthy that in the month of July, assistance amount of Rs 653 crore 85 lakhs has been transferred directly into the bank accounts of a total of 69 lakh 96 thousand 556 beneficiaries of Chhattisgarh. Out of these, payment was made to 66 lakh 16 thousand 618 beneficiaries through DBT on the basis of Aadhar linked accounts and 3 lakh 79 thousand 938 beneficiaries whose accounts are not linked to Aadhar are being paid into their accounts through NEFT. Assistance amount of Rs 2612 crore 18 lakhs for 4 months from March to June has been paid into the accounts of women.

It is known that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, eligible married women will be given a total of 12 thousand rupees per year at the rate of one thousand per month. Under the scheme, on March 10, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi transferred an amount of more than 02 crore 75 lakh rupees to the accounts of more than 27 thousand women of the district as the first installment. Under the scheme, 3 thousand 687 women of the special backward tribal category were also benefited.
