Ensure Swift Resolution of Public Grievances to Provide Relief — Minister Otaram Dewasi at Sirohi District Public Hearing and Vigilance Committee Meeting
A district-level public hearing and meeting of the Sirohi District Public Grievance Redressal Vigilance Committee was held on Thursday at the DOIT auditorium.
Addressing the Vigilance Committee meeting, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Shri Otaram Dewasi, emphasized that all officers must ensure quick and effective resolution of public grievances received through public hearings, night camps (Ratri Chaupal), and various online portals. He directed that complaints should be resolved at the initial stage itself, in line with the intentions of the state government, so that the public does not have to run from pillar to post for redressal.
The Minister urged all officials to listen to citizens with sensitivity and seriousness, and to act swiftly on complaints. During the meeting, he reviewed actions taken so far on the cases listed with the District Vigilance Committee and directed strict action against those found guilty, while ensuring relief to complainants.
At the public hearing, citizens submitted complaints related to encroachment removal, pension benefits, medical care for mentally challenged family members, land measurement, and issues concerning electricity, water supply, revenue, PWD, health, and education departments. Instructions were issued to the concerned officials for appropriate action as per rules.
Sirohi District Collector Smt. Alpa Chaudhary directed all officials to take prompt action on cases registered on the Sampark Portal, reduce average resolution time, and work towards increasing the satisfaction rate among citizens.
The meeting was attended by Sirohi Zila Pramukh Arjunram Purohit, Superintendent of Police Anil Beniwal, and various district-level officials and staff. Block-level officers joined the meeting through video conferencing.
