Meeting of Rajasthan Scheduled Tribes Advisory Council Held

CM Bhajanlal Sharma Emphasizes Holistic Development through Timely Execution of Welfare Schemes

Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma stated that the state government is fully committed to the welfare of Scheduled Tribes and the all-round development of TSP (Tribal Sub-Plan) areas. He emphasized that the Rajasthan Scheduled Tribes Advisory Council is ensuring the successful implementation of key schemes from both the Centre and State governments.

Chairing the Council’s meeting organized by the Tribal Area Development Department at his residence on Friday, CM Sharma urged local representatives to actively participate in the “Dharti Aaba Jan-Bhagidari Abhiyan” (People’s Participation Campaign) being run from 15th to 30th June on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda. He also directed officials to promptly resolve pending individual and community claims under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, and issue entitlement certificates.

Complete Budget Announcements and Development Projects on Time

CM Sharma instructed officials to ensure that projects sanctioned under the Tribal Area Development Department are completed with high quality and without delay. He emphasized fast-tracking works announced in the 2024–25 Budget and expediting activities proposed under the 2025–26 Budget. Additionally, he directed that student scholarships distributed by the departments of School Education, Social Justice & Empowerment, and Higher Education be disbursed on time.

He also called for accelerated progress in Water Resources, Agriculture, and Horticulture projects. He emphasized quality execution of road construction and Jal Jeevan Mission works, and timely provision of electricity connections in tribal areas.

Central Schemes Must Reach Tribal Communities

The Chief Minister directed officials to focus on identifying and assisting TB patients in tribal areas under the Prime Minister’s TB-Free India Campaign. He stressed the need to expedite works under PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) and ensure that 100% benefits of government schemes reach tribal families through activities organized under the Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan. He also emphasized boosting tribal incomes via the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana.

Residential Schools and Hostels in TSP Areas to be Regularly Inspected

CM Sharma called for full participation of public representatives in the upcoming Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight, beginning on 24th June, to ensure that welfare schemes reach the genuinely needy. He directed regular inspection of residential schools and hostels, and demanded quality assurance of meals and nutrition at Maa-Badi Centers. He also instructed speedy completion of mini seed kit distributions in TSP areas.

The meeting was attended by Tribal Area Development Minister Shri Babulal Kharaḍi, Revenue Minister Shri Hemant Meena, MLAs Shri Samaram, Shri Phool Singh Meena, Shri Pratap Lal Bheel, Smt. Shanta Amrit Lal Meena, Shri Gopichand Meena, Shri Lalit Meena, Shri Mahendra Pal Meena, Shri Hansraj Meena, Shri Rajendra Meena, Shri Rambilas, Shri Shankar Lal Decha, Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant, and several Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and senior officials from various departments.
