Make Yoga an Integral Part of Life – PWD Minister Shivrendra Singhraje Bhosale
Satara : “Yoga has a long-standing tradition in our culture. It promotes good health and mental peace. Everyone should practice yoga daily and make it an inseparable part of their life,” urged Public Works Minister Shivrendra Singhraje Bhosale.
Minister Bhosale was speaking at a grand celebration of International Yoga Day held at the Shrimant Chhatrapati Shahu District Sports Complex in Satara. The event was jointly organised by the District Administration, District Sports Officer, and the AYUSH Department.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Minister Bhosale. Present on the occasion were District Collector Santosh Patil, Sub-Divisional Officer Ashish Barkul, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Yuvraj Karpe, and District Sports Officer Nitin Taralkar, among others.
Minister Bhosale emphasized that regular practice of yoga leads to both mental peace and physical well-being. “Yoga is an ancient tradition, and its benefits are well proven. Many ailments are being cured through yoga. Make your life yoga-centric by practicing it daily,” he said, extending best wishes to all on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
District Collector Patil highlighted that numerous events were organised across the district to mark the International Day of Yoga. He encouraged regular practice of yoga for a healthy life.
A large number of officials, employees from various departments, and students participated in the program and demonstrated various yoga postures, adding enthusiasm and energy to the event.
