CM Sai Lays Foundation for 250-Seater Nalanda Campus in Kunkuri: Library to Offer Indoor and Outdoor Study Facilities

Raipur : Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai laid the foundation stone for a 250-seater Nalanda Campus in Saliyatoli village, Kunkuri, located in Jashpur district. The campus will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹4.37 crore and is envisioned as a modern, round-the-clock educational hub equipped with advanced facilities. Addressing the youth at the event, CM Sai extended his best wishes and reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing quality education in every district through the establishment of Nalanda Campuses.

CM Sai stated that two Nalanda campuses are being developed in Jashpur district. These campuses will feature state-of-the-art libraries, learning resources, and modern technological amenities, and will remain open 24/7 to ensure uninterrupted study opportunities for students.

He also highlighted the government’s strides in digitising public services, with all departmental operations being brought online through e-office systems. Ten new revolutionary initiatives have been implemented in the revenue sector to simplify processes such as land registry and mutation, making them more accessible and transparent for the general public.

Focusing on student welfare, CM Sai announced that a CBI probe is underway against those involved in corrupt practices in examinations like PSC (Public Service Commission). He also shared plans for the establishment of a medical college, an agriculture college, and institutions for horticulture, nursing, naturopathy, and physiotherapy in Jashpur district.

Nalanda Campus: A 24×7 Modern Learning Center with Sustainable Infrastructure

Inspired by educational models in metropolitan cities, the Nalanda Campus will offer 24×7 study access, featuring indoor and outdoor zones, as well as a dedicated Oxy Reading Zone that connects students with nature. The facility will operate on an autonomous, solar-powered model with an eco-friendly design to reduce power consumption. Over 50 species of native plants will be planted within the campus to promote environmental sustainability.

To foster the holistic development of youth, the campus will also house a Youth Tower, sports courts, a cafeteria, an ATM, and a health zone. The entire infrastructure will function on a self-financed operational model.

The library will be stocked with over 50,000 books, a digital library, Wi-Fi zones, and a wide range of competitive exam resources. Technologically, it will be equipped with an RFID-based entry system, biometric IDs, RFID tracking for books, and a software-managed inventory system, making it one of the most modern educational facilities in the state.

The foundation ceremony saw the presence of District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, Kunkuri Janpad President Smt. Sushila Sai, Vice President Shri Baleshwar Yadav, Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shri Shashi Mohan Singh, District CEO Shri Abhishek Kumar, and other dignitaries, officials, public representatives, and a large number of local villagers.
