Chief Minister Issues House Site Pattas to 21,776 Beneficiaries Under Various Schemes in Vellore District

Under the One-Time Settlement Regularization Scheme and various other schemes, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru M.K. Stalin distributed house site pattas to 21,776 beneficiaries after land regularization in Vellore district.

In the last four years alone, a total of 39,811 house site pattas have been issued in Vellore district.

On June 25, 2025, the Chief Minister participated in a government welfare distribution programme in Vellore, where he handed over pattas to 12 selected beneficiaries as a symbolic gesture of the total 21,776 pattas being distributed.

These pattas were issued under various schemes as follows:

• 2074 pattas under the One-Time Settlement Regularization Scheme as per G.O. No. 21(6) for change of land classification to village residential use.
• 1330 pattas under G.O. No. 318 for encroachers on government poramboke land with five-year residence (excluding urban local body areas).
• 10,000 pattas through Tamil Nadu Housing Board, subdivided and allocated.
• 212 pattas through Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board, similarly subdivided.
• 240 pattas under G.O. No. 612 for conversion from agricultural to residential use.
• 4,525 pattas issued through Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, now formally recorded in revenue records.
• 1,473 pattas issued through Backward Classes Welfare Department, also formally recorded.
• 1,922 pattas under G.O. No. 97 for regularizing encroachments in urban local body areas.

In total, 21,776 pattas were distributed through these schemes.

Over the last four years in Vellore district, 18,035 pattas were distributed specifically to Adi Dravidar, Backward Classes, and other marginalized communities, including regularized encroachments and land reclassification. Including today’s 21,776 pattas, the cumulative total reaches 39,811 pattas issued in the district.
