Surprise inspections conducted in tehsils and RTO office in Saharanpur, 19 middlemen sent to jail.

Lucknow/Saharanpur : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a massive crackdown on corrupt officials in government offices across Uttar Pradesh. Over the past two days, he has suspended six police and administrative officers/employees, including two SDMs and Tehsildars, in Firozabad and Banda, initiating investigations into their conduct. 

Additionally, now the Chief Minister has commenced surprise inspections in government offices.

On Thursday, in an unprecedented move, a surprise inspection was conducted in tehsils and RTO offices in Saharanpur under the direct supervision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the inspection, 19 brokers and middlemen were arrested and immediately sent to jail, with further actions initiated. This sudden crackdown has caused panic among wrong doers in the district.

After the completion of the Lok Sabha elections, in a video conference with officers posted in various zones, divisions, ranges, and districts, the Chief Minister emphasized that ‘public interest is paramount.’ 

He instructed officials to hold public hearings for two hours daily at the scheduled time and stressed the importance of a corruption-free work culture. The Chief Minister clearly stated that if middlemen are found in any government office, action will be taken against them, and the accountability of the officers will be fixed.

In the same sequence, on Thursday, on the directions of the Chief Minister, a surprise inspection in the tehsils and RTO office of Saharanpur was carried out during which 19 suspicious individuals were found. Prima facie, during interrogation, they were identified as middlemen. All of them were immediately forwarded to jail, and further action was initiated.

The Chief Minister’s intention behind the surprise inspection is to maintain a corruption-free, clean, and pure work culture in government offices. 

He conveyed to senior officials that there is no place for corruption in government offices. If a broker or middleman is found in any office, the senior officials of the district will also be held accountable, and their assets will be investigated. 

The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is committed to public welfare and will continue to take action with a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. If involvement in corruption is found, dismissal proceedings will also be initiated against the guilty officials. This series of surprise inspections will continue.
