Principal Secretary Rajesh Yadav Chairs Review Meeting of Tourism, Art & Culture Departments Officials Given Responsibility Forms; Directed to Formulate Action Plans Based on Key Points

Jaipur : A review meeting of the Tourism Department was held on Monday at Paryatan Bhawan, Jaipur, under the chairmanship of Rajesh Yadav, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Art & Culture, and Chairman, RTDC (Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation). The meeting was attended by Tourism Commissioner and RTDC Managing Director Rukmani Riyar.

During the meeting, Rajesh Yadav distributed department-specific forms to officials, outlining key issues and responsibilities related to their respective departments and branches. He directed all officials to develop action plans based on the points listed in the forms and focus on their effective implementation to enhance departmental performance.

The review covered various departments and branches, including:

  • Tourism Department and its branches: fairs & festivals, tourist police, accounts, etc.
  • Tourist Information Centre, Jaipur
  • Development and Investment branches
  • Department of Archaeology
  • Ravindra Manch, Jawahar Kala Kendra, and Heritage Development Authority

Yadav instructed that if officials wish to add new points beyond those listed in the forms, they are free to do so and present them along with an action plan in the next review meeting. He noted that some departmental issues may not require any budget, but can be resolved simply through initiative and innovation. He also emphasized that local-level cultural innovation can play a vital role in promoting art and culture.

Highlighting the need for tourist-centric services, Rajesh Yadav recommended the training and skill upgradation of tourist guides and vehicle drivers to cater to the 23 crore tourists who visit Rajasthan. He further suggested that the list of certified tourist guides should be made available on the department’s official portal for easy public access.
