CM Yogi to launch Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLC) on Thursday

Lucknow : The Yogi Adityanath government is taking a decisive step towards making Uttar Pradesh an ‘Udyam Pradesh’ and achieving the ambitious goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy. On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate 27 nodes under the Uttar Pradesh Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Cluster (UP-IMLC), a transformative initiative spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA).

These nodes, strategically located along major expressways, are not only a dream project of CM Yogi but also hold immense strategic significance. While they will serve as dedicated corridors for manufacturing, they will also host logistics hubs to facilitate seamless movement of goods via road, rail, and air.

This integrated approach is expected to accelerate industrial growth, create large-scale employment opportunities for young people, and drive balanced regional development across the state, ultimately propelling Uttar Pradesh towards its $1 trillion economy target and achieving industrial self-reliance.

Expressways and Corresponding Node Locations:
Ganga Expressway: Meerut, Hapur, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj
Bundelkhand Expressway: Auraiya, Jalaun, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Chitrakoot
Agra–Lucknow Expressway: Firozabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar
Purvanchal Expressway: Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ambedkarnagar, Ghazipur
Gorakhpur Link Expressway: Gorakhpur, Ambedkarnagar

In a notable development, Ambedkarnagar will house two nodes—one each along the Purvanchal and Gorakhpur Link Expressways. These nodes will be sector-specific, designed to attract industries such as textiles, leather, and others, thereby giving each region a distinct industrial identity and export capabilities. Supporting logistics clusters will further strengthen the supply chain ecosystem for these industries.
Parallel to this, significant progress is also underway under the national industrial corridors, specifically in the Noida-Ghaziabad and Meerut-Muzaffarnagar areas.

Nodes are being developed under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), including an Integrated Industrial township in Greater Noida. Under the Amritsar–Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC), Integrated Manufacturing Clusters are being established in Prayagraj and Agra.

These efforts, implemented in collaboration with the Central Government, align with Uttar Pradesh’s strategy to develop each expressway-linked node into an economic growth engine. By attracting investments, creating jobs, and promoting regional specialization, the Yogi government is setting the foundation for an industrially robust and economically empowered Uttar Pradesh.
