Tamil Nadu to Host COOP-A-THON Mini Marathon on July 6 to Celebrate International Year of Cooperatives 2025

Cooperatives, the Tamil Nadu Department of Cooperation is organizing a COOP-A-THON Mini Marathon under the theme:

Equality is the Essence of Cooperation
“Let’s Join, Let’s Run – Cooperatives Eliminate Worry”

The Mini Marathon will be held at Island Grounds, Chennai, on 06.07.2025 (Sunday) starting at 5:30 AM.

Hon’ble Minister for Cooperation Mr. I. Periyasamy will inaugurate the Mini Marathon and flag off the event.

Marathon Route & Participation

  • The marathon will begin at Island Grounds, proceed via Napier Bridge, Anna Square, Widow’s Home, and return to the starting point.
  • The total distance is 5 km.
  • Participation is open to individuals aged 18 to 40 years, and above 40 years (men and women) who have registered in advance.
  • Approximately 2000 participants are expected.

Cash Prizes

Separate prizes will be awarded for Men’s and Women’s categories:

All finishers will receive medals and certificates, which can also be downloaded online.

Registration and bib distribution will take place at Island Grounds.
