Tamil Nadu Launches “Ungaludan Stalin” Outreach Camps Across State to Strengthen Government-Citizen Connect
Chennai : Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has announced the launch of a major public outreach initiative titled “Ungaludan Stalin” (With You, Stalin) to directly engage with citizens and address their grievances. This campaign, which will begin on July 15, 2025, is being launched as per the CM’s declaration in this year’s Legislative Assembly, aimed at directly understanding and addressing public concerns.
Under the “Ungaludan Stalin” scheme, around 10,000 special camps will be organized across both urban and rural areas of the state. The inaugural camp will be personally launched by the Chief Minister in Chidambaram Municipality, Cuddalore District on July 15, 2025. Camps will be held in every district from July through November 2025.
The core aim of this initiative is to ensure that government services and welfare schemes reach every doorstep, especially the underprivileged and marginalized communities. In urban areas, 3,768 camps and in rural areas, 6,232 camps are scheduled. At these camps, 43 services from 13 departments in urban areas and 46 services from 15 departments in rural areas will be made available to the public.
The camps will also offer medical services, including wellness checkups, through mobile clinics and health departments. Volunteers will conduct door-to-door outreach, informing citizens about the schedule, services available, eligibility criteria, required documents, and assisting with filing applications.
Additionally, applications for the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam (Kalaignar Women’s Rights Grant Scheme) will also be accepted at these camps. Women who are eligible but have not yet applied will be able to submit their forms during the camp itself. Importantly, the “Ungaludan Stalin” camps are the only official channels for submitting new applications under this scheme.
All applications received during these camps will be processed within 45 days, ensuring prompt action and resolution.
To support the campaign, starting from July 7, 2025, a three-month long door-to-door awareness drive will also commence. Approximately one lakh trained volunteers will visit homes across the state, educating people on available services and assisting with application submissions.
The government urges all citizens to actively participate in these camps being held in their localities and benefit from the available government schemes and services.
