Minister Laxmi Rajwade’s Efforts Gift Surajpur a Boost in Educational Infrastructure

Central Library to Be Built at a Cost of ₹441 Lakhs

Raipur : Thanks to the dedicated efforts of Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, the youth of Surajpur district are set to receive a major educational facility. The Chhattisgarh government has granted administrative approval for the construction of a Central Library and Reading Zone in Surajpur during the financial year 2025–26, with a sanctioned budget of ₹441.49 lakhs.

This state-of-the-art Central Library will be developed with a seating capacity of 250 and will include digital study materials, e-learning resources, a quiet reading zone, internet connectivity, and modern library management technologies. The facility is expected to benefit school students, competitive exam aspirants, and literature enthusiasts alike.

Expressing her gratitude for this significant approval, Minister Laxmi Rajwade thanked Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary. She emphasized that the library is not just a physical structure but a foundation for the bright future of the region’s youth. She called it a major step toward building a knowledge-based society.

Minister Rajwade further stated that the initiative would serve as a milestone in promoting educational empowerment, regional balance, and a culture of learning.
