Kisan Unnati Yojana to Benefit Farmers Growing Pulses, Oilseeds, Maize, and Millets in Kharif SeasonInput Support of ₹10,000 to ₹11,000 per Acre; Direct Transfer via DBT
Raipur : Under the Kisan Unnati Yojana, farmers in Chhattisgarh cultivating pulses, oilseeds, maize, and small millets in the upcoming Kharif season will now receive input support assistance from the state government. The initiative aims to promote crop diversification, expand the area under pulses and oilseeds, and encourage self-reliance in their production.

To encourage farmers to shift from paddy to alternate Kharif crops, the government has approved the provision of input assistance of ₹11,000 per acre on verified land area, subject to registration on the Integrated Farmer Portal (IFP) and confirmation through land records (Girdawari). This assistance is designed to help farmers purchase quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and adopt modern farming techniques.
Chhattisgarh’s largely rain-fed agricultural landscape is prone to climatic uncertainties and increasing input costs, leading to unstable farm incomes. Many farmers are unable to invest adequately in essential inputs due to financial constraints. The Kisan Unnati Yojana seeks to address this challenge by providing financial relief and promoting sustainable investments in agriculture.

- ₹11,000 per acre for farmers transitioning from paddy to other Kharif crops.
