CM Dhami Participates in CSC Day 2025 Celebrations in Dehradun, Honors VLEs for Excellence
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the CSC (Common Service Center) Day 2025 program held on Friday at the IRDT Auditorium, Survey Chowk, Dehradun. On this occasion, he also honored individuals who have performed exceptionally in the CSC sector with the CSC VLE (Village Level Entrepreneur) Awards.
The Chief Minister stated that CSCs are a symbol of the transformative change that has reached every corner of the country. They not only serve as centers of public trust but also fulfill the aspirations of citizens. Through CSCs, urban services are now reaching villages with just a click, turning Gram Panchayats into Digital Panchayats.
Highlighting their significance, CM Dhami said that the role of CSCs becomes even more crucial in a mountainous state like Uttarakhand. He emphasized that CSC operators are simplifying and improving the lives of people at the village level and are actively shaping the future of rural communities. CSCs are not only delivering digital services to households but have also created employment opportunities in society.
There are over 13,000 CSCs operating in Uttarakhand. These centers facilitate UCC registration, issuance of various certificates, digital transactions, and many other essential services. The Chief Minister also noted that the state is promoting a science-based knowledge economy.
CM Dhami acknowledged that it was Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi who envisioned the Digital India mission, and today that vision is becoming a reality. He described the digital revolution as a reflection of the government’s clear policies and intentions. Digital connectivity has reached the remotest villages of India, and the country now leads the world in digital transactions—even the smallest shops are embracing digital payment methods.
He added that under the Digital India campaign, advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Computing are being encouraged. The state government is consistently promoting digital initiatives and innovation. Various government services have been made simpler through e-governance by making them available online. E-tourism is also being promoted by enabling online bookings. In the fields of weather forecasting and climate change, tools like data analytics and satellite imagery are being utilized.
On this occasion, MLAs Shri Khajan Das and Shri Umesh Sharma Kau, along with Shri Bhagwan Patil, Shri Krishna Kumar Singh, Shri Ashwini Kumar, and several other dignitaries were present.
