Ajit Pawar Urges Faster Water Supply Work in Nanded.
Mumbai : Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has directed that all ongoing water supply projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Nanded district, including Bhokar, Ardhapur, and Mudkhed talukas, should be expedited and completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also instructed that a status report on the ongoing water supply projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Nanded district be submitted immediately.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar chaired a committee meeting at the Ministry today, focusing on the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission and Water Grid projects in Bhokar, Ardhapur, and Mudkhed talukas of Nanded district. Special attendees included Ashok Chavan (via video conferencing), Dr. Rajgopal Devara from the Planning Department, O.P. Gupta from the Finance Department, Sanjay Khandare from the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Abhishek Krishna from Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Abhijit Raut (District Collector of Nanded), Minnal Karnawal (Chief Executive Officer), among others.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar emphasized that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, 1234 projects are being undertaken in Nanded district through the Zilla Parishad, with 28 water supply projects managed by Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran. These include projects in the Bhokar assembly constituency and in Bhokar, Ardhapur, and Mudkhed talukas, totaling 122 projects under the Zilla Parishad’s purview. He stressed the importance of completing these projects within the stipulated timeframe and directed to expedite their progress. Additionally, he instructed for an immediate status report on the ongoing projects in Nanded district.
