Chief Secretary Meets With Mizoram Anti-Corruption Bureau Officers
Aizawl | Chief Secretary and Chief Vigilance Officer Pu Khilli Ram Meena held a meeting with the officials of the Mizoram Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, MINECO. The meeting focused on reviewing the current operations of the ACB and discussing future strategies for enhancing anti-corruption efforts in the state.
In his address, Chief Secretary Meena commended the dedication and hard work of the ACB staff. He urged them to continue their efforts with renewed commitment, emphasizing the need to thoroughly understand and uphold the laws of the land. He stressed that sustained and vigilant efforts are necessary to curb corruption and foster accountability in governance.
The meeting was attended by Pi Betsy Zothanpari Sailo, Secretary, Vigilance Department, along with all officers from the department. Also present were Pu J. Lalthafamkima, Director of ACB, the Superintendent of Police (SP), and all investigating officers (IOs) of ongoing cases.
According to a report presented by Pu Lalbiakkila, Senior SP, ACB, the Bureau is currently investigating 12 cases and conducting 13 preliminary enquiries. So far in 2025 alone, 4 regular cases have been investigated and closed, and 7 preliminary enquiries have been completed.
The Chief Secretary reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency and called on the ACB to maintain the highest standards of integrity and diligence in all investigations.
