Under ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ Scheme, Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Interacts Directly with Citizens in Saidapet–Thiruvallikeni Constituency
Over 100 Camps Planned Across Chennai Corporation; Thousands of Grievances to be Addressed
Chennai | As part of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin’s flagship outreach initiative “Ungaludan Stalin” (With You, Stalin), Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin personally attended a grievance redressal camp held today at Mahaveer Jain Bhavan, Saidapet–Thiruvallikeni Assembly Constituency. He listened to public grievances and directed on-the-spot resolutions.
This citizen-centric program, launched in Chidambaram Municipality, Cuddalore District, aims to bring government services to people’s doorsteps. Between July 15 and November 2025, over 10,000 camps are scheduled across urban and rural areas of Tamil Nadu.
In urban areas, 3,768 camps and in rural areas 6,232 camps will be conducted. Each camp will feature representatives from various departments who will offer 43 services in urban areas and 46 in rural areas, including revenue, health, housing, ration card updates, welfare schemes for women, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons.
Doorstep Campaign and Volunteer Outreach
From July 7, 2025, trained volunteers have been visiting every household to inform residents about the date, venue, and services available at these camps. They are also helping citizens understand eligibility criteria, required documents, and provide pre-filled forms for submission. The government has committed to resolving all valid petitions within 45 days of submission.
One key highlight is that applications for the Kalaignar Mahalir Urimai Thogai Scheme (Women’s Rights Grant) are accepted only at these camps. Women who were previously deemed ineligible can now submit fresh applications during the camp.
In Chennai Corporation limits, the first phase includes 109 camps from July 15 to August 14, 2025, operating daily between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
