Government Positive About Allocating Additional Land for Industrial Development in Indapur’s Junction Area – Sports Minister Dattatray Bharane

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Responds Positively

Mumbai : The Maharashtra government has shown a positive stance towards allocating approximately 1,500 acres of land for the Mini MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) in the Junction area of Indapur taluka. This update was shared by Sports Minister Dattatray Bharane following a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

The meeting took place in Deputy CM Pawar’s chamber and was attended by Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Industries Secretary P. Anbalagan, CEO Velarasu, Executive Director of Agriculture Corporation Nandkumar Bedse, Pune Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, and Pune District Collector Dr. Jitendra Dudi.

Junction, located in the western part of Indapur taluka, is known as a key village for small-scale industries. Entrepreneurs in the area have been engaged in manufacturing various types of equipment. For over 40 years, they have been demanding the establishment of a formal MIDC zone. Meeting this long-pending demand would generate employment for the local youth.

Entrepreneurs, through Minister Bharane, requested that additional land from the Agriculture Corporation be allocated for the proposed industrial estate. While an initial proposal for 328 acres had been tabled earlier, local entrepreneurs insisted on a minimum of 1,500 acres, considering future expansion and growth. Responding positively, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar immediately agreed to the proposal for increased land allocation.

Minister Bharane expressed confidence that this decision would expedite the long-pending MIDC project. He added that the proposed MIDC would become the focal point for Indapur taluka’s development, accelerating its economic progress and creating a new industrial identity for the region.

The initiative is expected to open up opportunities for new entrepreneurs to establish businesses and significantly improve employment prospects for the local population.

Following the meeting, Minister Bharane made a statement highlighting the developmental benefits of the decision. The meeting was also attended by prominent local figures, including Pratap Patil, Dattatray Fadtare, Vasant Moholkar, Rajkumar Bhosale, Sanjay Shinde, Sachin Sapkal, Harshvardhan Gaikwad, Vishnu Mane, Rameshwar Mane, Rahul Ranmude, Mangesh Gandhi, Keshav Desai, Javed Mulani, Balasaheb Gore, Vijay Gawade, Prem Sheikh, Innoos Mulani, and Aba Mane.
