UP International Trade Show 2025 Bengaluru Roadshow ends on high note with strong interest from Karnataka industry
Lucknow/Bengaluru : The third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 is set to take place from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida. As part of the lead-up, a grand roadshow was held on Friday at the KASSIA campus in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru, drawing over 250 industrialists and exporters from sectors such as food processing, machinery, electronics, handicrafts, apparel, aroma, and incense sticks. The roadshow aimed to connect industries nationwide with UPITS and offer MSMEs a global platform.
Presiding over the event, Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan said that Uttar Pradesh has become the “engine of India’s development story” and is the only state in the country hosting international trade shows. With 96 lakh MSMEs—around 14% of India’s total—the state is empowering artisans across all 75 districts through the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme.
Sachan invited key industry bodies such as FKCCI, KASSIA, Peenya Industrial Association, and LUB to participate in UPITS 2025, highlighting the many advantages of investing in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized investor-friendly features like the single-window system, a robust land bank, strong law and order, 12 operational airports, an expanding expressway network, and competitive labour costs.
Uttar Pradesh, he said, is targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2029, with Rs 25 lakh crore worth of projects already approved out of a proposed Rs 40 lakh crore investment. Calling UPITS 2025 a grand platform, he projected Rs 2,000 crore in potential business, over 2,400 exhibitors, 1.25 lakh B2B visitors, 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, 550+ international buyers from 70 countries, and more than 35,000 B2B meetings.
During the Roadshow, Karnataka industry leaders expressed strong interest in business opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. LUB–K President H.V.S. Krishna noted that 10,000 of the organization’s 75,000 members hail from UP. KASSIA President B.R. Ganesh Rao highlighted how UPITS opens new market avenues for MSMEs.
FKCCI President M.G. Balakrishna assured full cooperation with Uttar Pradesh, while Peenya Industrial Association President Danappa D.P. expressed enthusiasm, noting that Peenya—Asia’s largest MSME cluster—is eager to participate. EPCH President Dr. Neeraj Khanna emphasized the importance of promoting artisan exports, and IEML CEO Sudip Sarkar detailed new features at UPITS 2025, including a dedicated B2B zone, buyer-seller meetings, ODOP showcase, and export cluster.
