Ex-Servicemen, Their Spouses, and Children Should Submit Details for Special Honour Awards by 31st August
Mumbai : Children of ex-servicemen or their spouses who have scored over 90% marks in Class 10 or 12 will be eligible for a Special Honour Award of ₹10,000. This award will be given to the top five meritorious students from each education board. To avail of this benefit, families of ex-servicemen are required to submit the necessary information to the District Sainik Welfare Office by 31st August 2025.
Additionally, children of ex-servicemen who gain admission to prestigious institutions like IIT, IIM, or AIIMS will receive a Special Honour Award of ₹25,000.
Ex-servicemen, their spouses, and children will also be honoured with this award if they have:
- Achieved excellence in sports, literature, music, singing, instrumental performance, or dance
- Been recognised as successful entrepreneurs
- Demonstrated exceptional performance in the field of computers or IT
- Played a significant role during natural disasters
- Or performed noteworthy acts that enhance the prestige of the state or the nation
