Chief Minister’s Trophy 2025 Sports Festival Offers ₹37 Crore Prize Pool; Registrations Open

Chennai : The prestigious Chief Minister’s Trophy 2025 is set to take place from August 22 to September 12, 2025, across Tamil Nadu, featuring a wide range of sporting competitions and a massive total prize pool of ₹37 crore. The announcement was made by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, highlighting the state’s commitment to promoting sports at all levels.

The Chief Minister’s Trophy Games will be held at zonal, district, and state levels, with various categories of participants:

• School students from classes 6 to 12 (aged 12–19)
• College students aged 17–25
• Sportspersons in the open category (aged 15–35)
• Differently-abled participants
• Government employees

A total of 25 sports disciplines will be conducted at the zonal level, 7 sports at the district level, and 37 sports at the state level.

Prize Details:

• Individual Events (State Level):
  • 1st Prize: ₹1,00,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹75,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹50,000
• Team Events (State Level):
  • 1st Prize: ₹75,000 per team
  • 2nd Prize: ₹50,000 per team
  • 3rd Prize: ₹25,000 per team

Winners will also receive certificates and special mementos in recognition of their achievements.

Participants must register through their schools, colleges, or sports clubs for individual or team events. The last date for registration is August 16, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
