CM Sai and DCM Sharma shouldered the mortal remains of the martyred soldier and sent it to the martyr’s residence Raipur-Saddu.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma reached the 4th Battalion Mana today and paid tribute to the mortal remains of Jawan Shri Bharat Lal Sahu who was martyred in the IED blast carried out by Maoists in Tarrem of Bijapur district yesterday by laying a wreath on his body. Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister shouldered the mortal remains of the martyred Jawan and sent it with full respect to his residence Saddu in Raipur.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said on this occasion that our brave soldiers have made the supreme sacrifice in the IED blast in Tarrem of Bijapur district. As soon as our government was formed, we have intensified our fight against the Maoists and we are fighting a decisive battle. The Chief Minister said that the martyrdom of our soldiers will not go in vain.

During this period, Chief Minister Shri Sai met the family members of the martyred Jawan Shri Bharat Lal Sahu and consoled them.

It is noteworthy that martyred STF constable Shri Bharat Lal Sahu was a resident of Raipur district. On 17th July, STF forces had left for anti-Naxal operation in Tarrem of Bijapur district. During the operation, two security personnel were martyred and 4 were injured in an IED blast planted by Maoists.

On this occasion, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, MLA Motilal Sahu, DGP Ashok Juneja, senior police officers and family members of the martyred soldier were present.
