Chief Minister holds a one-on-one meeting with Shri Gursharan Singh, Senior Vice President of Global Operations, Micron Technology

Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel held a one-on-one meeting with Shri Gursharan Singh, Senior Vice President of Global Operations, Micron Technology, in Gandhinagar. 

The meeting was held following the inaugural session of the Gujarat Semiconnect Conference 2024, organized at Mahatma Mandir. Shri Gursharan Singh told the Chief Minister that the youth of Gujarat are highly enthusiastic about building careers in the semiconductor sector, particularly in technical positions such as engineers, technicians, and operators. 

Micron is actively training these youth to prepare them for roles in production facilities, having trained 47 people so far. During the meeting, Shri Gursharan Singh requested the state government to establish free trade warehouse facilities at Sanand GIDC and provide housing facilities for the young men and women working at their plant in Sanand. 

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel assured him of the state government’s support in these matters. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Shri Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industry Department Shri S.J. Haider, Principal Secretary of Science and Technology Smt. Mona Khandhar, and other senior secretaries.
