Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade Inspects Shabari Emporium and Garment Factory

Raipur, Aug 25 : Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, was on a visit to Kondagaon district today. During her visit, she inspected the artefacts of bell-metal craft at the Shabari Emporium and met with renowned artisan Dr. Jaydev Baghel’s son, Mr. Bhupendra Baghel, to understand the craftsmanship process. She also visited the office of the Coconut Development Board and gathered information regarding the production of coconut, cocoa, and black pepper.

Minister Rajwade expressed her satisfaction upon witnessing the work being carried out by women at the Garment Factory located in Kondagaon. The factory has been operational for the past three years and has provided direct employment to 300 women. Emphasizing the need for expanding such units, she highlighted the importance of further efforts to empower women and make them self-reliant.
