Raigad, August 2025 : The Revenue Department is the backbone of governance, and officers and employees in the department must work in a people-centric manner, said Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare today. She was speaking at the Revenue Day programme held at the Planning Bhavan Hall of the District Collector’s Office.

She mentioned that several new initiatives are being launched by the government, and it is the responsibility of every official to implement them properly.

Revenue Day is celebrated to honor the work done by officers and employees of the department, which deals directly with the general public. Minister Tatkare assured that employees will be provided with their rightful entitlements, and their issues will be addressed. She added that several initiatives like “Shasan Aplya Dari” (Government at Your Doorstep) and Maharajaswa Abhiyan have been implemented to reach the masses. A new initiative, the “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajaswa Abhiyan,” is also being launched. She stressed that administrative machinery in the district should be empowered with adequate resources in every office.

Minister Bharat Gogawale said that the government belongs to the poor and underprivileged, and hence it is the duty of every officer and employee to ensure the necessary facilities reach them. He urged all officials and staff to work for the welfare of the people. The Revenue Department should continue its work with the same dedication. He instructed officers and staff to provide essential certificates and documents to citizens promptly.

District Collector Kishan Jawale, in his introductory remarks, informed that “Revenue Week” will be celebrated from August 1 to August 7, during which pending cases will be resolved, and benefits of various schemes will be distributed.
