Government Committed to Enhancing Healthcare and Educational Facilities in Raigad District – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar
Raigad, Aug 2025 – The State Government is committed to providing quality healthcare and educational facilities to the citizens of Raigad district, said Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar today. He was speaking at the naming and inauguration ceremony of Smt. Geeta Dattatray Tatkare College of Nursing, run by the Mangao Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. Present on the occasion were Minister of Women and Child Development Aditi Tatkare, MP Sunil Tatkare, former MLA Aniket Tatkare, and President of Mangao Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Adv. Rajiv Sable.
On this occasion, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar said that it was his privilege to inaugurate a state-of-the-art nursing college building established by Mangao Shikshan Prasarak Mandal on the sacred land of Mangao. This college has created a new avenue of education for students from both urban and rural areas of Mangao taluka. He emphasized the need to ensure that students coming here receive the best possible education and knowledge. The college has been named after MP Sunil Tatkare’s mother, and he expressed hope that the institution would live up to the dignity of her name through its work.
MP Sunil Tatkare said efforts are being made to develop Raigad district as an educational hub. Industrial progress is underway in the district, and there are continuous efforts to train skilled local manpower to meet the demands of the expanding industrial sector. He added that industrialization will significantly boost employment opportunities in the region. Various educational institutions are being established to ensure quality education for students. The government will also provide necessary funds for improving education and healthcare facilities in the district, he assured.
The introductory address for the program was delivered by Adv. Raju Sable, President of Mangao Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. The event witnessed a large gathering of Mangao residents, including the college’s principal, teachers, and students.
