Illegal Gas Refilling Racket Busted in Jaipur; 85 Cylinders Seized

Jaipur Aug 2025 : Acting on the directives of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, a major crackdown against illegal gas refilling was carried out by the District Supply Officer in Jaipur.

On Saturday, the Supply Department conducted two separate raids in Jaipur city, seizing a total of 85 gas cylinders, five refilling motors, and two heavy weighing machines. The operations were led by Enforcement Officer Sarita Yadav under the supervision of Supply Officer Trilok Chand Meena.

The first raid was conducted in the Gajsinhpura area, where domestic and commercial gas cylinders were being illegally refilled. The team confiscated 71 domestic cylinders, nine commercial cylinders, four refilling motors, and one weighing machine. This unauthorized refilling posed a significant safety hazard to the local residents.

The second raid took place in Hasanpura, where illegal gas refilling was being carried out within a residential area. Here, five domestic cylinders, one refilling motor, and one weighing machine were seized. Officials highlighted that such illegal operations carry the constant risk of cylinder explosions and severe accidents.

District Supply Officer Trilok Chand Meena stated that refilling activities at both locations were being conducted without any authorized license, posing a grave danger to public safety. He assured that strict action against such unlawful practices would continue, and surprise inspections would be intensified to curb these activities.

The administration has appealed to the public to promptly report any instances of illegal gas refilling or suspicious usage of gas cylinders to the authorities, so timely action can be taken to prevent potential accidents.
