Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is rapidly emerging as a hub of innovation and is poised to play a key role in shaping India’s digital future. The city is witnessing the development of cutting-edge centres and industry collaborations in sectors such as drone technology, AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality), electronics manufacturing, and green data infrastructure. Bhopal is also on track to become a major centre for drone innovation. Meanwhile, fast-growing domains like animation and graphics are opening up exciting new career opportunities for the youth of the state. Global technology trends such as semiconductors and data centres are also gaining ground in Bhopal.

CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that Bhopal’s rise as a preferred destination for high-tech industries is no coincidence. It is the outcome of carefully planned infrastructure development, a supportive ecosystem, and visionary policymaking. Both domestic and international companies are increasingly choosing Madhya Pradesh for their ventures, supported by the state’s business-friendly environment and proactive governance. From deep-tech sectors like semiconductors and drones to AVGC and data centres, Madhya Pradesh is establishing itself as a launchpad for India’s digital revolution.

AVGC-XR Centre of Excellence: A Creative Hub at Global Skills Park

The AVGC-XR Centre of Excellence, being established at the Global Skills Park in Bhopal, will serve as a training hub and launchpad for startups in gaming, animation, and visual effects (VFX). Equipped with advanced facilities such as LED virtual production studios, AI labs, motion capture systems, and render farms, the centre is poised to reduce reliance on metro cities and cultivate a new generation of skilled digital professionals.

IISER to Host Centre of Excellence in Drone Training and Research

The upcoming Drone Centre of Excellence at IISER, Bhopal, is being developed as a unique platform for AI-enabled drone manufacturing, indigenous prototyping, and AR/VR-based training. It will also host the country’s first AI-UAV data repository, which will drive innovations in agriculture, disaster management, and infrastructure sectors.

Kaynes Semicon’s Semiconductor Unit in Bhopal

As a key partner in India’s Semiconductor Mission, Kaynes Semicon is setting up its unit in Bhopal’s IT Park. This initiative will give a new direction to chip design, assembly, and research, further strengthening the state’s deep-tech policy.

Madhya Pradesh’s First Private Green Data Center in Bhopal

Asia’s largest Tier-4 hyperscale data centre operator is setting up a green data centre at Bhopal’s IT Park. Designed with a zero-emission target, the facility will feature advanced technologies such as immersive cooling. This state-of-the-art data centre is set to elevate Madhya Pradesh’s capabilities in cloud computing and artificial intelligence to new heights.

EMC 2.0: 209-Acre Electronics Manufacturing Cluster

An Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) is being developed over 209 acres in Bandakhedi, Bhopal. Designed to support industries such as mobile phones, semiconductors, printed circuit boards (PCBs), LEDs and e-mobility, the cluster will offer ready-built factory units, testing laboratories and comprehensive logistics support. With an estimated investment of Rs. 1,500 crore, EMC 2.0 is expected to create around 75,000 employment opportunities.

Secure Circuit: Towards Self-Reliance in PCB Manufacturing

The upcoming Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing unit in Bhopal will significantly strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s growing semiconductor ecosystem. It marks a major stride toward self-reliance in key sectors such as defence, automotive and industrial automation.

The state government is not only facilitating swift approvals and efficient solutions for industries but is also building investor confidence through long-term partnerships. Bhopal’s transformation represents more than just technological advancement—it signals the beginning of a new chapter in the journey toward an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). Madhya Pradesh is fast emerging as a model state for innovation, knowledge and digital skill development.
