Kolkata Metro Rail augment services across all the existing Lines from 11th. August, 2025.

To meet the demand of commuters, Kolkata Metro Railway authorities are going to increase Metro services and service hours on the Green Line-1, Green Line-2 and Purple Line.

GREEN LINE-1:

A total of 108 services (54 UP + 54 DN) on this stretch will be operated. At present, 106 services (53 UP + 53 DN) are being operated daily from Monday to Saturday on Green Line-1.

Service hours on this Corridor are also going to increase to 06:35 hours to 22:00 hours instead of 06:55 hours to 22:00 hours.

First Service: –

At 06:35 hours from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V (instead of 06:55 hours)

At 06:40 hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Sealdah (instead of 07:00 hours)

Last Service: –

At 21:35 hours from Sealdah to Salt Lake Sector V (No Change)

At 21:40 hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Sealdah (No Change)

No services will be available on Sundays.

GREEN LINE-2

A total of 134 services (67 UP + 67 DN) on this stretch will be operated.  At present, 130 services (65 UP + 65 DN) are being operated daily from Monday to Saturday on Green Line-2.

Service hours on this Corridor are also going to increase to 06:30 hours to 21:53 hours instead of 07:00 hours to 21:53 hours.

FIRST SERVICE

At 06:30 hours from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade (Instead of 07.00 hours.)

At 06:30 hours from Esplanade to Howrah Maidan (Instead of 07.00 hours.)

LAST SERVICE

At 21:45 hours from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade (No Change)

At 21:45 hours from Esplanade to Howrah Maidan (No Change)

Normal Services will be available on Sundays as usual.

PURPLE LINE: –

A total of 80 services (40 UP + 40 DN) on this stretch will be operated.  At present, 72 services (36 UP + 36 DN) are being operated daily from Monday to Friday on Purple Line.

Service hours on this Corridor are also going to increase to 06:50 hours to 21:14 hours instead of 07.57 hours to 20:32 hours.

FIRST SERVICE

At 06:50 hours from Joka to Majerhat (instead of 08:00 hours)

At 07:14 hours from Majerhat to Joka (instead of 07:57 hours)

LAST SERVICE

At 20:36 hours from Joka to Majerhat (instead of 20.15 hours)

At 20.57 hours from Majerhat to Joka (instead of 20.15 hours)

There will be no services on Saturdays & Sundays as usual.
