Har Ghar Tiranga 2025: How to Participate and Download Your Certificate for India’s 79th Independence Day

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign returns this year to mark India’s 79th Independence Day, calling on citizens across the country to hoist the national flag between 2 and 15 August 2025. The initiative, which blends tradition with digital outreach, allows participants to upload a selfie with the Tricolour to the official portal and receive a digital certificate and e-card as a keepsake of their participation.

Since its inception under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga has become a mass movement uniting families, students, and communities in a shared expression of pride. The campaign is spearheaded by the Ministry of Culture, with active involvement from state governments, civic bodies, and volunteers, ensuring that the celebration of freedom is both personal and nationwide.

What Is Har Ghar Tiranga?

Har Ghar Tiranga is a national campaign encouraging every Indian to display the flag at home, workplace, or in public spaces. Beyond the visual spectacle of the Tricolour fluttering across cities and villages, the movement fosters a deeper sense of belonging and respect for the symbols of independence.

The initiative also extends online—through pledge-taking, certificate downloads, and social media sharing—making it a blend of physical participation and digital engagement.

How to Participate: Step-by-Step Guide

1. Hoist the Flag (2–15 August 2025)
Fly the Indian National Flag at your home, office, school, or any suitable location. Ensure it follows the Flag Code of India regarding dimensions, placement, and respectful handling.

2. Capture Your Tiranga Selfie
Take a photo or selfie with the flag. This image will be used for your official participation record.

3. Upload to the Official Portal
Visit harghartiranga.com/selfie. Enter your name and mobile number, upload the image, and submit the form.

4. (Optional) Take the Har Ghar Tiranga Pledge
Visit pledge.mygov.in to affirm your commitment to the ideals represented by the national flag. The pledge can be read in your preferred language. On completion, you can download a personalised Pledge Certificate with a unique barcode.

5. Download Your Participation Certificate
After uploading your selfie, you’ll see an option to download your Har Ghar Tiranga Certificate in PDF format. Save it for personal use or share it on social media to inspire others.

How to get it:

  • Complete the registration and selfie upload
  • Look for the e-card/badge option on the same portal
  • Download or share it on WhatsApp, social media, or as part of your email signature

The e-card helps spread awareness and encourages friends, colleagues, and communities to join the campaign.

Why Participate?

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is more than symbolic—it’s an opportunity to actively engage in the celebration of freedom while contributing to a sense of collective pride. By hoisting the flag, taking the pledge, and sharing your certificate or e-card, you become part of a movement that connects citizens across geography, language, and culture.

For schools, housing societies, and organisations, it’s also a chance to organise group activities, photo drives, and awareness events, amplifying the spirit of the day.

This Independence Day, join millions of Indians in proudly displaying the Tiranga. Whether in a bustling city or a remote village, online or offline, the campaign makes it possible for every citizen to participate—digitally empowered, united in spirit, and bound by the colours of the Tricolour.
