CM Dhami Leads Tiranga Yatra in Dehradun with Public Representatives, Youth, Students, Women, and Children
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the Tiranga Yatra in Dehradun on Wednesday, accompanied by public representatives, thousands of youth, students, women, and children. The rally served as an opportunity to express gratitude to Bharat Mata, freedom fighters, martyred soldiers, valiant women warriors, and the great sons of India.
Starting from Gandhi Park, Dehradun, the CM marched with the tricolour in hand alongside the participants, as chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” echoed through the streets. He encouraged the crowd, especially boosting the morale of the youth, and also launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign (13–15 August).
Accompanied by patriotic songs, CM Dhami led the procession, greeting the youth and extending advance wishes to all for Independence Day. The vibrant display made it feel as though the entire spirit of India had poured onto the streets of Dehradun.
The Chief Minister said that the tricolour is a living symbol of our freedom, unity, and rich cultural heritage. He urged all citizens of the state to hoist the national flag with full honour and pride at their homes, establishments, workplaces, and institutions this Independence Day, and to remember and pay tribute to the immortal martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s freedom.
CM Dhami emphasised that the Tiranga Yatra is not just a march but also an expression of gratitude to Bharat Mata, freedom fighters, martyrs, brave women warriors, and India’s great sons. The grand Tiranga Yatras taking place in every village, town, and district of Uttarakhand are a testament to this spirit.
