Saitual, Aug 2025: Today, along with other parts of India, the grand celebration of the 79th Independence Day was held at the Keifang Centenary Sports Complex in Saitual District. Dr. Vanlalthlana, Minister of State, attended as the chief guest and received the salute from 20 parade contingents dressed in their traditional attire.

The chief guest paid tribute to the people of Saitual District who had gathered to mark the 79th Independence Day and expressed gratitude for their successful preparations and hard work in making the event possible. He recalled that after years under British colonial rule, India attained freedom on 15th August 1947 through the struggles of freedom fighters, and we were able to stand on our own.
