Government Grants Immediate Approval for Construction of Martyrs’ Memorials in 29 Villages of Jalgaon District

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Responds Positively to Guardian Minister’s Demand

Jalgaon, Aug 2025 : The government has sanctioned funds under the District Planning Committee’s Innovative Scheme for the construction of martyrs’ memorials in Jalgaon district, in honor of brave soldiers who laid down their lives while serving in the army during wars and war-like situations.

A total of ₹4.35 crore has been approved for 29 memorials, with ₹15 lakh allocated for each, as a “one-time special provision.” This decision will pave the way for building inspirational memorials in the native villages of fallen soldiers across the district.

On Sunday, August 17, during the review meeting of the district annual plan, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar responded immediately to the request made by Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil and assured approval for these memorials. Accordingly, the government has now formally issued orders, notifying District Collector Ayush Prasad and the District Planning Officer about the sanction.

With this decision, 29 villages in Jalgaon district will soon have historic and inspirational martyrs’ memorials, serving both as a mark of respect for the families of the fallen soldiers and as a source of inspiration for future generations.
