Environment and Climate Change Minister Pankaja Munde Honoured with ‘Kohinoor of India’ Award

Lokmat Media Group Felicitates Her; Grand Ceremony Held in London

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : State Environment and Animal Husbandry Minister Pankaja Munde has been honoured with the ‘Kohinoor of India’ award by the Lokmat Media Group for her outstanding work in her departments. The award was presented yesterday at a grand ceremony in London.

The occasion marked the ‘Lokmat Global Economic Convention’, an international conference organised in London by the Lokmat Media Group.

The group had resolved to honour individuals who have brought glory to the nation on the global stage with the ‘Kohinoor of India’ award. Mrs. Pankaja Munde was conferred this award for establishing a new dimension in environmental protection, climate change, and animal husbandry through her visionary and dedicated leadership. The award was presented by Vijay Darda, Chairman of the Lokmat Media Group, in the presence of Rajendra Darda, Editor-in-Chief of Lokmat.

Participation in Panel Discussion

As part of the convention, a panel discussion was also organised on the topic “The contribution of women in preserving values, the nation’s rich culture and heritage, and their significant role in industry, business, and the economy.” Mrs. Munde actively participated in this session and presented her views.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Munde said, “It is due to the opportunities given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that I have been able to contribute to the state’s developmental journey. This award is not just recognition of my work so far, but also a tribute to everyone who has stood firmly behind me.”
