Eastern Railways Passenger Services.

Aug 2025 : In the strive of providing passenger services, Eastern Railways have decided to provide a plethora of augmented train services:

1) To facilitate the passengers, Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division has decided to run one pair of EMU special between Barddhaman & Katwa on and from 23.08.2025 on daily basis.

35024: Katwa – Barddhaman EMU special will leave Katwa at 13:50 hours to reach Barddhaman at 15:10 hours, and,

35023 Barddhaman – Katwa EMU special will leave Barddhaman at 16:00 hours to reach Katwa at 17:20 hours. The EMU special will stop at all stations in both directions enroute.

The introduction of these service(s) is going to eliminate the long interval between two trains –

Till now, after train number 35016 leaves Katwa Junction at 08:50 hours in the morning, the next available train 35018 leaves Katwa at 16:00 hours in the evening. Similarly,

After train number 35017 leaves Barddhaman Junction at 14:00 hours, the next available train 35019 leaves Barddhaman Junction at 18:30 hours.

2) Temporary stoppage of Twenty Two EMU Locals at Islampara Halt Station between Bandel Junction and Katwa Junction Section.

Additional Stoppage of the following Twenty Two (22) EMU locals at Islampara Halt station over Howrah Division on temporary basis for the period of 03 months from 23.08.2025 to 22.11.2025:

BANDEL – KATWA SECTION: 37743, 37749, 37751, 37753, 37757 and 37745 will stop and start at Islampara Halt station at 04:40 hours, 12:25 hours, 14:45 hours, 16:45 hours, 23:35 hours and 05:50 hours respectively.

37757 Bandel – Katwa EMU local will arrive Katwa at 01:35 hours instead of 01:30 hours.

KATWA – BANDEL SECTION: 37742, 37744, 37748, 37750 and 37746 will stop and start at Islampara Halt station at 06:11 hours, 10:38 hours, 14:48 hours, 19:23 hours and 13:12 hours respectively.

HOWRAH – KATWA SECTION: 37921, 37927, 37915 and 37925 will stop and start at Islampara Halt station at 18:17 hours, 21:47 hours, 11:10 hours and 20:27 hours respectively.

37925 Howrah – Katwa EMU local will arrive Katwa at 22:25 hours instead of 22:20 hours

KATWA – HOWRAH SECTION: 37912, 37914, 37928, 37920 and 37924 will stop and start at Islampara Halt station at 05:30 hours, 07:26 hours, 21:10 hours, 09:32 hours and 16:33 hours respectively.

SEALDAH – KATWA SECTION: 31111 will stop and start at Islampara Halt Station at 09:42 hours respectively.

KATWA – SEALDAH SECTION: 31112 will stop and start at Islampara Halt station at 17:43 hours.
