CM Yogi realising the vision of ‘Law with Labs’, says experts at UPSIFS seminar

Lucknow, Aug 2025 : Concluding the three-day UPSIFS seminar in Lucknow, on Wednesday the experts thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for guiding the successful seminar. Experts praised CM Yogi for bringing the ‘Law with Labs’ vision to reality, noting that the seminar spread awareness of forensic science and will benefit aspiring students the most. During the seminar, the students gained knowledge about global shifts, artificial intelligence, and the use of other future-based technologies.

Renowned cyber security experts from India and abroad participated in the seminar and offered their suggestions for the modernization of the police system in the state. Experts also agreed that with the type of facilities being provided to UPSIFS by the state government, it will prove to be a milestone not only in India but across South Asia in the future.

Additional Professor at the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at KGMU, Dr. Shivli, appreciated the successful organization of the seminar and said that the three-day seminar organized at UPSIFS under the guidance of CM Yogi was special in many ways. She said that forensics is a discipline that requires much more awareness. This seminar was beneficial for youth making a career in this field and also helped the police department understand and address new challenges, strategies, and situations, which in turn will greatly benefit the general public.

She also said that the way UPSIFS is being equipped with modern facilities speaks well about CM Yogi’s commitment is praiseworthy. Experts at the seminar agreed that CM Yogi is modernizing the infrastructure of various systems in the state in accordance with the needs of the current times, which is commendable. UPSIFS is not only one of the few institutions in the country and state but also in South Asia to be equipped with great modern facilities.

Expressing happiness over the successful three-day seminar at UPSIFS, experts said that Uttar Pradesh Police have a long history of efficiently solving major crimes. They believe that the strategies developed through this seminar for the efficient management of future challenges will benefit not only Uttar Pradesh but also other states. The dialogue among experts from the judiciary, forensics, and cybersecurity highlighted both knowledge exchange and the current landscape of modern fields like AI and DNA forensics.

Dr. Nihar Ranjan, faculty at NIPER, Raebareli said that the seminar was a very meaningful effort to boost career prospects in the forensic stream. He said that the seminar became a medium to provide information about the ongoing work on various dimensions of forensics according to the demands of the times. Thanking the Yogi government, he said that excellent speakers were selected for the seminar.

Meanwhile, Dr. Shiv Pujan, Director of Biotox Solutions, said that under the able leadership of CM Yogi, UPSIFS is progressing greatly. He added that the way students are learning different forensic disciplines here with a practical approach will advance it significantly.
