Immediate Action on Public Works in Buldhana District: CM Eknath Shinde
Mumbai : Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed that various public welfare projects, including irrigation and roads in Buldhana district, should be initiated immediately. Additionally, he instructed to declare the Motala Industrial Zone and expedite its development.
In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shinde, various issues concerning Buldhana district and the Buldhana assembly constituency were reviewed.
The meeting, held at Sahyadri State Guest House, was attended by Minister for Cooperation and Guardian Minister of Buldhana District Dilip Valse-Patil, Minister for Soil and Water Conservation Sanjay Rathod, MLA Sanjay Gaikwad, MLA Shweta Mahale, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary of Cooperation Department Anup Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department Dr. Deepak Kapoor, Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department K. H. Govindaraj, Principal Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Department Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Secretary of Tourism Department Jayashree Bhoj, and Secretary of Soil and Water Conservation Department Ganesh Patil.
Chief Minister Shinde emphasized that all departments should make coordinated efforts to complete small projects that provide significant relief to the public. He highlighted that small-scale projects create irrigation capacity, benefiting farmers and should be prioritized. He also noted the potential of the tourism sector and stressed the importance of projects and facilities to enhance it.
The meeting involved detailed discussions on various topics, including raising the height of the Harmod irrigation tank, diverting overflow water from the Palagh dam to the Nalganga dam, increasing the capacity of the Girda storage tank, constructing a storage dam in Kinhola Shivara, transferring a social hall to the Buldhana municipal council along with a park and chowpatty, the Yelgaon tourism project, the Buldhana-Chikhli-Malkapur road work, and establishing a food park to benefit farmers from four to five talukas in the district.
