One-Day Online Training Program Organized for PACS and KVSS
Jaipur, Aug 2025: The Principal Secretary to the Government and Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Smt. Manju Rajpal, said that cooperative institutions should work transparently to ensure the interests of their members and farmers. She emphasized that various gaps at different levels affect the ranking and performance of committees, and therefore, they should strive to meet the determined standards and guidelines.
Smt. Rajpal was addressing the inaugural session of a one-day online training program organized for all PACS and KVSS in the state at the Nehru Cooperative Bhawan. The workshop was organized on the topics of membership of National Cooperative Export Ltd. (ACE), National Cooperative Organics Ltd. (NCOL), and Indian Seed Cooperative Society Ltd. (BBSSL), updating details of societies on the NCD portal, ranking framework, and award criteria.
The Principal Secretary said that the state’s cooperative societies have shown good participation by taking membership of BBSSL on a large scale. While there has been an increase in membership of NCEL and NCOL in recent days, it is necessary to maintain this momentum.
Smt. Rajpal said that membership of these multi-state cooperative societies formed at the national level is important for the state’s cooperative societies. It is a kind of investment that will yield better results in the coming days. She mentioned that the Rajfed has entered into an MoU with these three committees as a nodal agency, and some cooperative societies in the state that have taken membership are already reaping benefits.
The Principal Secretary emphasized that cooperative societies must work transparently to play an effective role. Those PACS that have completed computerization in the first and second phases should make online entries. Online audit of these committees is also mandatory. Failure to cooperate in this work may lead to committees not being able to play their role in various activities and potential action against them.
Representatives of the three multi-state institutions formed at the national level made presentations during the program. The representative of NCOL, Shri Vinay Kumar, informed that the committee was formed to provide organic products to farmers and citizens at a fair price. The representative of BBSSL, Shri J.P. Singh, informed that the committee is working specifically in the field of pulses and oilseeds, and Rajasthan is very important in this regard.
The representative of NCEL, Ms. Aroushi Nayak, informed that the committee was formed to promote the cooperative export sector in India and increase the presence of Indian products in the international market. She emphasized that committees can export products through NCEL to avoid procedural hassles.
In another presentation, Assistant Director (Statistics) Smt. Varsha Meena informed about the ranking of PACS in the National Cooperative Data Base. She explained the ranking criteria and the process of updating and emphasized that all columns must be filled with necessary information.
On this occasion, Additional Registrar (Cooperative Societies) and Chief Nodal Officer, Shri Bhoma Ram, and Additional Registrar (Second) and Nodal Officer for International Cooperative Year, Shri Sandip Khandelwal, were present. All Additional Registrars (Blocks), District Deputy Registrars, Managing Directors and Executive Officers of Central Cooperative Banks, Managers of KVSS, and administrators of PACS participated in the training program through VC.
