Pipeline Damage must not disrupt water supply– Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of providing clean and sufficient tap water to every household in rural areas through group water supply schemes. He urged for the immediate resolution of any obstacles that may arise and said that water supply must not be interrupted, due to damaged pipelines. Dr. Yadav instructed to immediately repair pipelines damaged during work conducted by contractors from other departments and insisted on co-ordinated efforts to prevent such damage. He also said to create a revolving fund for the prompt repair of pipelines. CM Dr. Yadav was adressing the 24th meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam, held today at Mantralaya. The meeting was attended by Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Rajesh Rajoura, Shri Malay Srivastava, and Shri Mohammad Suleman.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to explore the use of private water sources to establish a permanent water supply arrangement. He emphasized the importance of community participation in the implementation of the plan, particularly involving local residents to ensure cleanliness. Dr. Yadav highlighted the need to prioritize both the timeline and quality of water supply-related projects. During the meeting, various management issues, including annual accounts, were presented for consideration. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Sanjay Shukla, and Principal Secretary of Finance, Shri Manish Singh was present as well.
