Compassion and Spirituality are the Hallmarks of Indian Culture – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Program by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur on the Occasion of Paryushan Mahaparva
Mumbai, Aug 2025 – The thoughts propagated by Lord Mahavir always placed supreme importance on compassion and kindness towards all living beings. We care not only for humans but for every form of life. The animal hospital being established by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission will be a great blessing for Mumbai, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking at a program organized by Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur, on the occasion of Paryushan Mahaparva. Revered Gurudevshri Rakeshji was present on the dais.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said that while other ancient civilizations of the world survive only in remnants, Indian culture remains alive because we never abandoned spirituality. Western thought speaks of the “survival of the fittest,” but in our culture, Lord Mahavir showed the path of living in harmony with all beings.
He added that whenever the world speaks of spirituality, its attention turns to India. Saints like Shrimad Rajchandraji guided many through their teachings. Inspired by them, countless organizations and social workers continue to serve selflessly even today.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Fadnavis performed the foundation stone-laying ceremony of Shrimad Rajchandra Animal Hospital, which will be built at Malad, Mumbai.
He further announced that Shrimad Rajchandra Mission will organize a Youth Festival at Jio World Garden, Mumbai, on December 6 and 7, 2025. This festival, he said, will serve as an inspirational guide for the youth.
